Take an armchair journey as Tom Ayers recounts hiking at
some of the world’s most exotic locations, at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, at the
Asheboro Public Library.
Ayers will talk about and show images from his visits to
five continents, including places such as Mount Kilimanjaro, Machu Picchu and
the Inca Trail, Camino de Santiago in Spain, the Grand Canyon, the Great Wall
of China, Mount Washington in New Hampshire (the most dangerous small mountain
in the world) and more. He also will display hiking equipment, maps and other
items from his travels.
His talk, sponsored by the Friends of the Library, is free
and the public is invited.
The Asheboro library is located at 201 Worth Street.
