ASHEBORO -- Play around with MIT’s Scratch computer language during an
“Hour of Code” event at 4 p.m. Thursday, December 10, at the Asheboro Public
Library.
Children age 7 and up are invited to experiment with
Scratch, a computer program that helps kids understand the basics of
programming in a drag-and-drop format. Participants will be able to show off
their uniquely-coded creations at the end of the session.
Hour of Code is a global initiative to reach students all
over the world with one-hour introductions to computer science, designed show
that anyone can learn the basics of computer coding. December 7-13 is Hour of
