-- Begin and end August with classes on grilling and using herbs in your
recipes, with Randolph County Cooperative Extension Agent Jeannie
Leonard.

Arts Collection, the classes will take place at Cooperative Extension’s new
headquarters in Hillside Shopping Center, 1003 S. Fayetteville St. in Asheboro.
In
“Get Your Grilling On,” a demonstration class at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, August 3,
Leonard will provide information on making healthy, nutritious meals on the
grill, including meats and side dishes.
In
“Cooking with Herbs,” a demonstration class at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, August 31,
Leonard will discuss the differences between herbs and spices, and how to buy,
store and prepare each to maximum advantage. She also will talk about the
distinctive flavors of various herbs and spices.
